TJR, is comprised of Matt “Jam” Lamont and Karl “Tuff Enuff” Brown. Also known as Tuff Jam, the DJ/production duo are pretty much the founding fathers of UK Garage. Together in 2001 they were responsible for formulating a ground-breaking UK Dance style mix for successful British trio group Mis-Teeq, leading to a debut Top 10 chart hit with ‘Why’. As an example of production versatility, the innovative remix helped Mis-Teeq to obtain an album deal on the back of the single. The duo have also reworked the likes of Artful Dodger, Damage, Mary J Blige, Liberty X and club floor filler from Daniel Bedingfield, ‘Gotta Get Thru This’, amongst many others.

Catch Records is being re-released and contains a massive back catalogue of old skool Garage tracks. The label, set up in 1997, is managed by Brian Tharme and Gavin Mills, both of which are legends in the UKG scene. The original version of this track has been heralded as one of the all-time best by the likes Todd Edwards, DJ Mag, DAZED and Red Bull to name a few. The track peaked in the UK charts in 1997 at #28 and has since gone down in the Garage history books.

Majestic has risen through the ranks to become the UK’s new leading authority on all things House. This multi-skilled artist can do it all, having won across the board acclaim for his work as a club and festival MC, music producer, remixer, club DJ and radio DJ plus he’s has been riding high this summer with his anthem ‘I Wanna Be Down’. He teams up with brand-new producer/DJ Luis Rumorè to rework ‘Just Gets Better’; the 2019 remix is a dirtied up, Tech House moment with a throbbing bassline and darting synths for a modern take on a UKG classic.

This release comes alongside New State Music’s brand new compilation album ‘Pure House Anthems’, as mixed by Majestic himself.
